Welcome to our weekly edition of Seed Watch- a segment of Market Insyte Digest focused on sharing some of the latest and most intriguing Pre-seed & Seed funding news grabbing the headlines in the startup world.

The first six months of 2025 saw early-stage startups across the globe attract more than $8.3 billion in pre-seed and seed funding deals, $3 billion of which was raised in June 2025 (thanks to Thinking Machines Lab’s historic $2 billion seed round). Below is a roundup of this week’s biggest deals.

  • Startup Name: Genesis AI

  • Industry: Artificial Intelligence / Robotics

  • Region: United States

  • Amount (USD): $105 million

  • The problem it is solving: Building general-purpose AI models for robots is hindered by the difficulty and cost of acquiring real-world physical interaction data. Genesis AI addresses this by developing a proprietary physics-based simulation engine that generates synthetic training data to train robotic AI models, enabling automation of repetitive physical tasks like lab work and housekeeping without relying on expensive, slow real-world data collection.

  • What the Funds Will Be Spent On: The funds will be used to accelerate the development of Genesis AI’s foundational robotics model, expand its team of researchers, and prepare for a public release of its model to the robotics community by the end of the year.

  • Startup Name: Wonderful

  • Industry: AI

  • Region: Israel

  • Amount (USD): $34 million

  • The problem it is solving: Wonderful addresses a major gap in AI-powered customer service for non-English-speaking markets. Most AI call centre tools are optimised for English and a few global languages, leaving companies in many countries without effective automated solutions. Wonderful's AI agents handle voice, chat, and email interactions in local languages—starting with Hebrew—providing scalable, culturally fluent, and fully automated customer service.

  • What the Funds Will Be Spent On: The funds will support expansion into international markets like Greece, Italy, and France; hiring local managers; customising the AI platform for additional languages; and scaling the engineering and sales teams. Wonderful aims to rapidly capture underserved multilingual call centre markets with its adaptable AI agent platform.

  • Startup Name: Emerald AI

  • Industry: AI

  • Region: United States

  • Amount (USD): $24.5 million

  • The problem it is solving: Emerald AI addresses the growing challenge of energy strain caused by AI data centres. As demand for AI compute rises, it threatens to overwhelm power grids and delay grid connections for new data centres. Emerald AI’s platform transforms data centres from static power consumers into dynamic, grid-responsive assets, helping them better align energy use with grid capacity without sacrificing critical AI performance.

  • What the Funds Will Be Spent On: The funding will be used to advance the Emerald Conductor platform, which orchestrates real-time workload management across data centres to reduce energy consumption during peak grid demand. It will also help scale commercial deployment, support further R&D, and expand partnerships with utilities and AI infrastructure providers like Nvidia and Oracle.
